Dear Beautiful Wise Women,
Spirit never ceases to amaze me. Once again, our session did not go exactly as I had planned, but it seemed to go exactly as it was meant to. Our Circle of Presence is about giving space to whatever arises, exploring it and witnessing it compassionately from the ground of our being. We do this work individually and collectively, and its valuable work.
So today, based on the words spoken upon entering and the call to respond, I invited our circle to contemplate the global imbalance of the feminine and masculine, and to consider the essence of the Sacred Feminine and the Sacred Masculine and what it might feel like if these forces were balanced and harmonized.
You each shared so honestly, so courageously and so truthfully. We all benefit from the words each of you offer.
And, thank you, each of you, for holding such presence for each other.
Truly, we are not alone.
The Belly of Compassion meditation
Last week I shared this meditation in an audio form with you, and this week I will share the written. I just love this meditation and sense we will be doing it quite regularly. Practicing it as a group is so powerful as together we liberate the holding, grasping and protecting of the belly.
Our meditation today, travelled from the belly into the heart and eventually up to the mind. Today, I shared Pamela Wilson’s offerings on the nature of The Mind.
Pamela’s description of the mind is beautifully poetic and invites in such a sublime experience. If you prefer a more concrete pointing, you may be more drawn to Michael Singer’s discussion. I didn’t share the following passage in its entirety today, but I welcome you to take it in now.
Rise Sister Rise, by Rebecca Campbell
As seems to happen, books will sit on my shelf for a little while and tell me when it is time to read them. This was certainly the case with this book. When I began reading it last week I felt as if I was going to burst. Every single word spoke to me and ignited a rising up of energy. I am especially drawn to Rebecca Campbell’s inclusion of the masculine in her work. Here are the passages I shared today, spurred by the energy of the circle. Thank-you Rebecca Campbell!
Fellow Wise Women, may you courageously venture into your week. Celebrate the joyous occasions, celebrate your body and your every breath. It was a very powerful practice today and I wish you continued integration throughout your week.
With so much respect and love,
